ABOUT DANIELLE KEIKO EYER
Having just completed her final year as part of the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program’s Cycle 35 at NYU, Danielle Keiko Eyer (she/her) is a queer Canadian composer/lyricist, playwright, singer/songwriter, and author currently based in New York. In her time at Concordia University, where she was part of the very first cohort of the innovative Performance Creation program, she specialized in playwriting, dramaturgy, and stage management and saw two of her plays produced at university festivals. Her first full-length musical, Fractured, for which she wrote the music and lyrics, had a residency and sold-out public reading at Playwrights’ Workshop Montréal in 2024. She developed her second musical, American Saint, with collaborator Halle Mitchell as their joint thesis musical at GMTWP throughout the 2025-2026 school year. Her play 8 ½ Collisions is a 2026 finalist for the Alliance/Kendada Graduate Playwriting Competition and will receive a workshop and public reading at Alliance Theatre in 2027. Her work has been performed at City Center, The Green Room 42, The Cutting Room, and even the NY Transit Museum! Dani has released two self-produced albums, Yellow and New Year’s Eve, available on all streaming platforms, and her music has accrued over 1 million views on YouTube.
